• Monty & Ramirez successfully defended a public employer in federal court and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in a False Claims Act lawsuit in which the Plaintiff was asserting $79.7 million in damages.
• Monty & Ramirez successfully defended the legality of a seldom applied Texas Local Government Code and civil service regulations during an elected official's transition into office.
• Monty & Ramirez successfully obtained dismissal of a public institution's lawsuit on the basis of jurisdiction after a former student filed suit.
