Even though union membership rates have decreased significantly over the years, unions are becoming increasingly more aggressive in their approach to organizing activities, particularly with efforts aimed at organizing Hispanic, immigrant workers.
Unions are also lobbying Congress to pass new labor laws which, among other things, would make it much easier for unions to organize employees by eliminating the requirement that a union establish majority status through a secret ballot election. Unions are lobbying strongly for immigration reform and signing up unauthorized workers by promising these undocumented workers assistance with legalization.
We represent both private and public sector employers in unfair labor practice proceedings and representation hearings. We also work with employers on union election campaign planning and in the negotiation and execution of collective bargaining agreements, contract administration, arbitrations, and planning for maintaining or regaining non-union status.
